PBS ContentLink (PCL) is a lean and highly effective interface solution for connecting SAP systems and fixed content storage systems. PCL enables the storage and retreival of all SAP ArchiveLink - enabled files and documents directly on state-of-the-art HDD based storage systems wihtout the need of a classical content management systesm. This achieves a high potential for cost savings: PCL does not need its own database.
Direct administration and monitoring can be performed from the connected SAP system. Through its lean and scalable architecture, PCL provides fast data transfer and achieves very quick response times even for high load situations.
PBS ContentLink for Compliant Storage
In addition to the SAP ArchiveLink interface, PBS ContentLink now also supports the SAP-specific WebDAV 2.0 protocol. PCL can be connected with various modern storage systems; additional are in preparation. PCL is not a classical content managemetn system, yet it comprises numerours CMS features.
The communication solution does not require its own database and it is highly scalable due to its Web-based architecture. Thie installation effert is low and even with simple aeans it enables a highly reliable configuration.
Administration is performed directly in the SAP system. PBS ContentLink does not require its own user interface and is practically maintencance-free.
Since recently, PBS ContentLink has provided automated performance optimization of ADK files in the ContentLink - specific cache with its cache optimizer.
